Most women gain weight around the breasts, abdomen, hips, thighs, and buttocks. Estrogen which is a sex hormone causes fat storage in the lower body. An alarming number of women resort to creams and so-called magic diet pills. They also employ spot training exercises like lunges and squats. However all these methods are ineffective and do not promote spot reduction. Spot Reduction among Men It is easier for men to burn body fat and put on muscle. Men are primarily affected at the abdomen. Bellies are caused by beer consumption and overeating. When fat collects on your chest, this gives the appearance of having male breasts. Again there are no specific exercises that will help reduce belly fat or male breasts.
